harness horse
Pulls a sulky
A harness horse is a horse bred or trained to pull a vehicle rather than carry a rider.
The term appears most often in harness racing, where horses pull lightweight two-wheeled carts called sulkies: She bet on a harness horse at the county fair.
Standardbreds are the dominant harness horse breed in North America.
