sulky

Moody, or single-seated

Sulky describes a mood of silent, withdrawn resentment—refusing to engage or be cheerful because of some grievance: She gave him a sulky look when he canceled their plans.

Children go sulky when denied what they want; adults do too, though less acceptably.

A sulky is also a light two-wheeled cart used in harness racing, pulled by a single horse.
