guitar track
Six-string audio channel
A guitar track is a recorded layer of guitar performance, typically one component in a multitrack recording.
Producers might record rhythm and lead guitar as separate tracks, then adjust each independently during mixing: We need to boost the guitar track in the chorus.
The term applies to both the recording process and the isolated audio file.
