grogs
Diluted rum beverages
Grogs is the plural of grog, an alcoholic drink—originally rum diluted with water, now any rough or cheap liquor.
The term comes from British naval history, where sailors received daily rum rations mixed with water.
He sampled the various grogs at the tiki bar.
Grog also means grogginess itself: shaking off the grogs of a rough morning.
