A greensman is a film or television crew member responsible for plants and foliage on set.
The greensman sources, places, and maintains trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation to create the desired look for a scene: The greensman dressed the courtyard with potted palms and hanging ferns.
On larger productions, a head greensman may supervise a department.
