glissandi

Harp sweeping sounds

Glissandi is the plural of glissando, a musical term for a rapid slide through a series of consecutive notes.

On a piano, it's the sweeping motion across white or black keys; on a trombone, the smooth slide between pitches.

The word comes from French for "sliding." The harpist's glissandi shimmered through the concert hall.
