glass windows
See-through building openings
Glass windows are windows fitted with panes of glass rather than other materials.
The phrase is technically redundant in modern contexts, since most windows today contain glass by default, but it distinguishes from historical alternatives like oiled paper or wooden shutters, or modern variants like plastic glazing.
The old cabin had no glass windows, just wooden boards that swung open.
