Gender questioning describes the process of exploring or being uncertain about one's gender identity.
Someone who is gender questioning hasn't settled on whether they identify as male, female, nonbinary, or another gender category: I've been gender questioning for about a year now.
The term appears both as an adjective describing a person and as a noun for the process itself.
