gender fluidity
Shifting identity expression
Gender fluidity is the experience of gender identity shifting over time rather than remaining fixed.
A gender-fluid person might feel more masculine some days, more feminine others, or somewhere in between.
The term emerged from LGBTQ+ communities and challenges the assumption that gender is binary and permanent: My gender fluidity means I don't always feel the same way about my identity.
