gamertags
Online gaming identities
Gamertags are the usernames players choose for online gaming platforms, functioning as their digital identity in multiplayer environments.
The term originated with Xbox Live but now applies broadly to any gaming handle.
A gamertag might be clever, intimidating, or deliberately absurd: His gamertag was xX_ShadowKiller_Xx.
Players often become known by their gamertags rather than real names.
