forum poster
Discussion board participant
A forum poster is someone who writes messages on an internet discussion board.
The term emphasizes participation over passive reading—a poster contributes content rather than just lurking.
It can also refer to the messages themselves: The forum posters on that thread got pretty heated.
Often shortened to just poster in context.
