flush left
Text hugs margin
Flush left describes text or objects aligned evenly along the left margin, with the right edge remaining uneven or ragged.
This is the default alignment for most Western text, since we read left to right.
In typesetting and word processing, flush left is often called left-justified or ragged right.
The document was formatted flush left for easy readability.
