first-person perspective
"I" narrator stance
First-person perspective is a point of view where the narrator or player experiences events directly, using "I" or "we." In literature, it creates intimacy: The story unfolds through the protagonist's eyes.
In video games, the camera sits behind the character's eyes, showing their hands and weapons but not their face: First-person shooters dominate online gaming.
The perspective limits knowledge to what one character perceives.
