third-person perspective
Observer's narrative stance
Third-person perspective is a viewpoint from outside the self—narration using "he," "she," or "they" rather than "I." In fiction, it allows access to characters' thoughts (omniscient) or restricts knowledge to external observation (limited).
In video games, the camera follows the player character from behind rather than showing their direct view.
The novel shifts from first-person to third-person perspective in the final chapter.
