field hospital

Warzone medical station

A field hospital is a temporary medical facility set up near a combat zone or disaster site to provide emergency treatment.

Unlike permanent hospitals, field hospitals are designed to be quickly assembled, operated, and moved as conditions change: The army established a field hospital just behind the front lines.

The term extends to any improvised medical setup during a crisis.
