feed tube
Delivery passage mechanism
A feed tube is a passage through which material enters a machine or device—the chute on a food processor, the channel directing paper into a printer.
In medical contexts, a feed tube (or feeding tube) delivers nutrition directly to the stomach or intestines of patients who cannot eat normally: She received nutrients through a feed tube for six weeks.
