fate line

The fate line is one of the principal creases examined in palmistry, running vertically up the center of the palm toward the middle finger.

Palm readers interpret its length, depth, and intersections as indicators of career path, life direction, and the degree to which outside forces shape one's destiny.

Also called the line of destiny or Saturn line, it is absent in some hands, which palmists interpret variously.
