palm reading
Fortune from fingers
Palm reading is the practice of examining the lines, mounts, and shapes of a person's hand to interpret character traits or predict future events.
Also called palmistry or chiromancy.
Practitioners claim the heart line reveals emotions, the head line indicates intellect, and the life line shows vitality: She had her palm read at the carnival.
