executive body
Leadership decision group
An executive body is a group with authority to implement and enforce decisions, laws, or policies.
In government, the executive body carries out legislation—a president's cabinet, a city council's administrative arm.
Organizations use the term for leadership committees empowered to act on behalf of a larger membership: The executive body voted to approve the merger.
