energy resources
Exploitable natural reserves
Energy resources are sources from which usable power can be extracted—coal, oil, natural gas, sunlight, wind, nuclear fuel, flowing water.
The term groups these disparate sources under their common function: providing energy for human use.
The country is rich in energy resources but lacks the infrastructure to exploit them.
Resources may be renewable (solar, wind) or nonrenewable (fossil fuels).
