Lawn boundary tool
An edger is a tool for trimming edges—typically where lawn meets sidewalk, driveway, or garden bed.
Manual edgers have a half-moon blade on a long handle; powered edgers use a spinning blade or string.
The term extends to any tool that creates or cleans edges: a pastry edger, an ice edger for fishing holes.
Someone who edges—in lawn care or otherwise—is also an edger.
