brush hog
Heavy vegetation mower
A brush hog is a heavy-duty rotary mower towed behind a tractor, used to clear overgrown fields, thick weeds, and small saplings.
Unlike lawn mowers, brush hogs can cut through dense vegetation that would jam lighter equipment: We need to brush hog the back pasture before it turns to forest.
Also called a bush hog, after a popular brand name.
