ecoterrorism
Green movement violence
Ecoterrorism is the use of violence, sabotage, or intimidation in the name of environmental causes.
Acts range from spiking trees to injure loggers, to burning construction sites, to attacks on research facilities: The FBI classified the arson as ecoterrorism.
The term is contested—activists may call it direct action while opponents and law enforcement call it terrorism.
