ecofascism
Environmental far-right ideology
Ecofascism is an ideology that combines environmentalism with authoritarian or fascist politics, typically advocating coercive population control, closed borders, or ethnic nationalism in the name of protecting nature.
Critics apply the term to environmental movements that prioritize ecological goals over human rights, or that blame overpopulation in developing nations for environmental destruction.
Some white supremacist movements have adopted ecofascist rhetoric, framing immigration as an ecological threat: The manifesto mixed ecofascist ideology with racial grievances.
