earthlings

Us, from space

Earthlings are inhabitants of Earth—human beings, as distinguished from extraterrestrials or celestial beings.

The word appears almost exclusively in science fiction contexts, where aliens or space travelers use it to address humans: Take me to your leader, earthlings.

Outside fiction, it's used humorously to suggest an outsider's perspective on humanity.
