early check-in
Before standard time
Early check-in is arriving at a hotel or other accommodation before the standard check-in time, usually for an additional fee or by special arrangement.
Hotels typically set check-in for mid-afternoon; early check-in lets guests access their rooms sooner: I requested early check-in since my flight lands at 6 AM.
The term also applies to airports, where early check-in means dropping off luggage or getting a boarding pass before the standard window opens.
