duffers
Links course novices
Duffers are people who are incompetent or clumsy at something, especially golf.
A duffer hacks around the course without much skill: The course was full of weekend duffers.
The term is mildly dismissive but usually good-natured—duffers know they're duffers.
British English also uses duffer for any inept or stupid person.
