double features
Two-film theater events
A double feature is a movie theater program showing two films for a single admission price.
The practice was common from the 1930s through the 1960s, often pairing a major studio release with a B-movie.
The term now appears nostalgically or for special screenings: The revival house is running a Hitchcock double feature this weekend.
