Blocking another car
Double-parking is stopping or parking a vehicle in the traffic lane alongside cars already parked at the curb, blocking them in.
It's illegal in most places but common for quick errands: I'll just double-park while you run in.
The term extends to any situation where someone parks parallel to existing parked vehicles rather than in a proper space.
