dormie
Lead equals holes
Dormie describes a position in match play golf where a player or team leads by exactly as many holes as remain to be played: if you're dormie with three holes left, you're up by three.
The term signals that the leader cannot lose in regulation—the best the opponent can do is tie.
Also spelled dormy.
