dog musher
Husky team leader
A dog musher is someone who drives a dogsled, commanding a team of sled dogs across snow or ice.
The term comes from the French-Canadian command *marche* (walk), which became the musher's cry "mush!" to urge dogs forward.
Mushers compete in races like the Iditarod or work in Arctic transportation: The dog musher guided her team through the blizzard.
