do unto others
Reciprocity rule start
Do unto others is a shortened form of the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." The phrase invokes the principle of treating people the way you want to be treated.
Often used as gentle moral instruction or as a reminder when someone's behavior falls short: Remember, do unto others.
Sometimes inverted sarcastically: Do unto others before they do unto you.
