disprovable

Can be contradicted

Disprovable describes something that can be shown to be false or incorrect.

In science and philosophy, disprovability (or falsifiability) is often considered essential to meaningful claims—a theory that cannot possibly be disproven may not be saying much: Any genuine hypothesis must be disprovable.

The word contrasts with claims that are unfalsifiable by design.
