discount hunting
Chasing price reductions
Discount hunting is the practice of actively seeking out sales, coupons, and reduced prices before making purchases.
It ranges from casual bargain-shopping to obsessive deal-chasing across multiple stores and websites: She spent an hour discount hunting before buying the TV.
The term sometimes carries a faintly dismissive tone, suggesting excessive effort for modest savings.
