devil's snare
Toxic climbing nightshade
Devil's snare is a plant of the nightshade family with large trumpet-shaped flowers and spiny seed pods, also called jimsonweed or thorn apple.
All parts are toxic and hallucinogenic.
In the Harry Potter series, Devil's Snare is a magical plant that ensnares victims with its tendrils, relaxing only when they stop struggling: The more you fight it, the faster it kills you.
