denazify
Cleanse of extremism
To denazify is to remove Nazi ideology, influence, or personnel from a place or institution.
The term originated with Allied efforts to purge Nazi elements from German society after World War II.
It has since been applied more broadly—and sometimes controversially—to describe campaigns against perceived fascist influence: Russia claimed it invaded Ukraine to denazify the country.
