demoniacs
Hosts of demons
Demoniacs are people believed to be possessed by demons or evil spirits.
The term appears most often in biblical and religious contexts, describing those whose afflictions—seizures, madness, violent behavior—were attributed to demonic influence: Jesus healed demoniacs and cast out their demons.
The word can also describe anyone who behaves as if possessed, with wild or frenzied energy.
