deep squat
Hips below knees
A deep squat is a squat position where the hips descend below knee level, bringing the body as low as possible while keeping the feet flat on the ground.
Common in weightlifting, yoga, and many non-Western cultures as a resting position: She dropped into a deep squat to examine the plant.
Also called a full squat or Asian squat.
