cyano
Chemistry's blue indicator
Cyano is a combining form meaning blue or relating to cyanide.
In chemistry, it indicates the presence of a cyanide group: cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), cyanoacrylate (super glue).
In biology and medicine, it signals bluish discoloration from oxygen deficiency: cyanosis, cyanotic.
The prefix comes from the Greek word for dark blue.
