cue up

Set to play

To cue up is to prepare audio or video for playback at a specific point: The DJ cued up the next track.

The phrase comes from positioning media—vinyl records, tapes, digital files—so it's ready to play on cue.

By extension, cue up means to line something up or have it ready: I've got a few questions cued up for the interview.
