ctrl x
Remove for pasting
Ctrl X is a keyboard shortcut that cuts selected content—removing it from its current location while copying it to the clipboard for pasting elsewhere.
The X suggests the scissoring motion of cutting.
On Mac, the equivalent is Command X.
I hit Ctrl X by mistake and lost the whole paragraph until I pasted it back.
