ctrl c
Keyboard copy command
Ctrl+C is the keyboard shortcut for copying selected content to the clipboard on Windows and Linux systems (Command+C on Mac).
The selection remains in place while a copy goes to memory, ready to be pasted elsewhere.
In command-line interfaces, Ctrl+C instead sends an interrupt signal that terminates a running process.
The shortcut has become shorthand for copying anything: Just ctrl+c that paragraph and send it to me.
