contact-traced

Followed infection links

Contact-traced describes someone who has been identified and tracked as a potential carrier of an infectious disease after exposure to a confirmed case.

The term gained widespread use during the COVID-19 pandemic: All contact-traced individuals were asked to quarantine for ten days.

It can also describe the process itself: The outbreak was quickly contact-traced back to a single event.
