connectionless
Fire and forget
Connectionless describes a mode of data transmission where each packet or message is sent independently, without first establishing a dedicated communication path between sender and receiver.
Unlike connection-oriented protocols that set up and maintain a session, connectionless communication treats each unit of data as self-contained, with its own addressing information.
UDP is the classic example of a connectionless protocol, favored when speed matters more than guaranteed delivery.
The streaming service uses connectionless transmission to minimize latency.
