congregational prayer
Communal religious devotion
Congregational prayer is prayer performed collectively by a group of worshippers, typically led by a clergy member or designated leader.
The term appears most often in Islamic contexts, where certain prayers carry greater spiritual merit when performed in congregation at a mosque: The imam led the congregational prayer.
Christian and Jewish traditions also practice congregational prayer, though they may use other terms.
