congelation
Liquid turning solid
Congelation is the process of freezing or solidifying, or the state resulting from it.
The word appears in technical and literary contexts where *freezing* might seem too plain: the congelation of water into ice, the congelation of blood in the wound.
It can also describe thickening or coagulation more generally.
