invariables
Things that persist
Invariables are things that don't change or vary.
In grammar, the term refers to words that have only one form regardless of grammatical context—prepositions, conjunctions, and adverbs that don't inflect for number, gender, or case.
More broadly, invariables are constants in any system: The invariables of human nature persist across cultures.
