concave mirror
Curved focusing surface
A concave mirror curves inward, like the inside of a bowl.
Light rays striking the surface converge toward a focal point, which makes these mirrors useful for magnification and focusing: shaving mirrors, makeup mirrors, reflecting telescopes, satellite dishes.
When you're close to a concave mirror, your reflection appears larger; farther away, it inverts.
