command bunker
Fortified control center
A command bunker is a fortified underground shelter designed to protect military or government leadership during attacks.
Unlike standard bunkers built for troops or supplies, command bunkers house communication equipment and decision-makers who direct operations: The general coordinated the counteroffensive from the command bunker.
The term extends to any heavily protected control center.
