color slides
Film for projectors
Color slides are transparent photographic images on film, mounted in small frames for projection onto a screen.
Before digital photography, slides were standard for presentations and family photo viewing—people gathered to watch vacation slides projected in darkened rooms.
The format survives mainly in archives and among film photography enthusiasts.
We found boxes of old color slides in the attic.
